This morning, Leo was one of the first few to bash through the short 20 m trail through the palm oil estate. Following behind, Regis hesitated for a few seconds before deciding to follow suit as well. After all, with an MTB at home, he’d thought he has the skills to tackle the gentle terrain....until his wheel got caught in the deep groove marked by motorcycle wheels.

..........T.I.M.B.E.R.!!!!!!!

He went sideways and crashed to the ground!

Eva getting up after her fall

Witnessing his fall from grace, Jeanny was quick to exude concern....NOT for him but towards his bike! As for Claudine, she had quickly decided to push her bike through on foot, despite Bernie’s teasing! Considering that Eva had fell at a speed of 1 kph as she was passing through Horizon Hills’ Westgate and the age old saying that “Bad Luck comes in Threes”, she wisely decided not to be part of that number!!!

Despite everything, the third fall did happen!!!We were about to cross a small intersection near the CIQ when out of respect, Regis decided to allow a car to pass. Slowing down to a stop, he finally gave way to gravity!

Arriving at Warong Poyot, Kak Maria greeted us warmly though our earlier pre-orders of roti canai went unheeded as always. Knowing their laidback attitudes, we went into the kitchen to collect our own drinks while some wisely selected their precooked menus of lontong, nasi lemak and soto.

After breakfast, we continued our ride to Forest City Golf Resort. Quite unlike herself, Susanna began to show signs of fatigue. Meanwhile her son, Chris was doing very well on his first ride on a road bike. Pressed for time, Eva and Henry had left us by then.

Sunblock and sunnies are freely dispensed for guest to use

Arriving at the golf resort, we were given warm welcomes. The guards allowed us to park by the motorcycle parking bays while ushering us into the lobby where drinks were freely dispensed.

After filling up on caffeine and carbonated drinks, we headed back via Lebuhraya Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas which is an untolled highway. At the interchange, we skipped the second link highway but slipped into the service road for Gelang Patah’s R&R (Northbound). This led us all the way to J4’s Jalan Skudai - Gelang Patah.

Part of the group waiting for Susanna

Thereafter, chaos ensued! While Susanna went limp with fatigue, the front riders led by Bernie had gone towards Gelang Patah which was undergoing some road works. Lim and Bernie had to proceed on their own with KC and young Chris in tow.

Susanna calling for help

As Susanna could no longer push on, she was escorted by Paul Eddie to Gelang Patah where she was picked up by her friend, Siew Choo. Thereafter, Paul Eddie rode back to base on his own.

Assured that everyone is somewhat accounted for, the remaining group rode back towards Pendas and the CIQ quarters. Thereon, while TH guided the roadies through the palm oil trail again, Leo kept his promise on taking VT and Claudine through a gravel shortcut. Both groups met again after the Sunway Iskandar arch before riding back to base....somewhat together!
