Right after Surau Kg Gading, we took the opposite road to explore and avoid a short section of Route 63

A distraction and short detour from Route 3

Jalan Permatang 1 at Kampung Badong Dalam runs parallel to Route 3. It is a detour of 4.1 km but it saves us the agony of riding for 3 km along Route 3

Paddy on both sides of the fields have just been harvested

Touch base with the beach @ https://goo.gl/maps/8A7UxZ9M2dSEXPKa7

This is not a popular beach as it doesn't come with any facilities hence it is pristinely clean

Surprised to see a trash free beach

Very few trees to offer shades

After the beach, we entered the fish farms

Coconut Grove, a private residence @ https://goo.gl/maps/bWs4HYA67kAy8Ykh8

Passing by Coconut Grove enroute to Merchong Tee King Chong. Unfortunately, it was also a private resort for fishing enthusiasts. Mr Lim was chased by the resort's dogs when he tried to ask for directions. The caretaker, a lady spoke good English and told us the rest of the road leads to the river and advised us to turn back

Menchali Forest Reserve after waiting for Mr Lim to change his rear tyre. He had no punctures during his 45 days in Europe but upon his return 2 weeks later, suffered a flat! This happened after he went into a whole right after Jambatan Kampung Badung

Curry puff by Wawa Cafe

We did not get wet but saw the rain from afar which helps to cool down the heat. Note the rainbow after the rain

A French guy brought his team out in 2 cars to test out his glider. He failed to fly but they did take a lot of photos.

We waited sooooooo looooooooong to see him fly.

It was a full moon night

Sharing session under the moonlight

Time for bed

Good to know nobody turned into a werewolf last night. We still woke up with our pants!!!
Other campers undisturbed as well

Enjoying a cuppa and the sunrise

It was raining heavily on our way home though. Note the orange river near Ulu Tiram
